New Tower Up

After months of planning and restoration of the tower to be installed behind the CARC clubhouse, it was finally put in place on Saturday, November 22.

Donated by a club member, preparation included a sanding of the entire tower and putting on a new coat of paint to protect it from the elements.  Still to come is the installation of antennas for local repeaters.

At an ensuing club meeting President Jim Blackburn thanked all of those that contributed to the project, saying it was the contributions of many that brought the project closer to completion.

“I’m happy to report our new tower is finally up. Thanks to all who supported this project.  Another milestone in our clubs history. Now we can move on with antennas for the tower. This was a major undertaking and I’m proud of the efforts of all who helped.”
