Surplus Equipment

Several items were declared surplus at the meeting on August 11. The following items are available to members at the price listed:

Kenwood DSP-100 – $540

This is the DSP unit for the TS 800 series from the 1990s.

Kenwood TS-850 – $630

HF transceiver with general receive. Includes Kenwood MC-50 desk mic. Minor issue w/ monitor circuit. TX and RX audio both tested good.

Heathkit HO-1Q Monitor Scope – $45

Vintage station monitor & oscilloscope. Bakelite plastic.

Pace Sidetalk 1000B CB Base Station – $25

Includes Shure mic with 4-pin connector.

Kenwood TS-820 w/ VFO-820 – $370

Late ’70s, early ’80s Hybrid rig. Solid state front-end with tube finals. New 12BY7a exciter tube. Includes Shure mic.

Yaesu FT101EX w/ Phone Patch – $200

Hybrid tube rig. No mic.

Heathkit Electronic Keyer – $40

Works with internal AC power supply, or external 13.5 VDC power from rig.

CW Presentation at 5-Points

Reggie McCarn, Jack McCarty, and a few other members will be giving a presentation on CW and antique equipment as part of the Family Day interactive event at the 5-Points Museum this Saturday, August 29th between 10:00AM and 1:00PM EDT.

The theme of the exhibit is “Curious Collections”.

ACS Trailer nears completion

IMG_1679This past saturday, the ACS trailer was on showcase at the Bradley Square Mall.  The ratcliff family has put most of the hard work and labor into getting this prepared.

The Cleveland Police department, Cleveland Fire department, Bradley County Sheriff’s office, Bradley County Fire, and EMS were all on hand to witness the unveiling.  Erlanger medical even landed a helicopter at the mall.
