Yesterday, July 24th, Cleveland Amateur Radio Club members successfully completed the removal process of a 50’ Rohn Tower and a Hy-Gain TH6-EM “Thunderbird” yagi antenna with a complete rotor package.
This antenna system was graciously donated to the CARC by the family of the late Bill Brock (WA4NPU) of McDonald, TN. Bill served as club president 1979.
We as a club would like to send a special thank you to Don(WB4KGF) and Charlotte(WD4EZR) Albritton for making this donation possible.
Also, we would like to thank: Club President Jack McCarty(WA5CHJ), Club Treasure Johnny Miller(K4JFM), Ron Watson(AA4RW), Buddy Kimsey(WA4NIV), Ed Moore(NR4CW) and Jesse Rogers(W4JUU) for dedicating their Sunday morning for this task.
As we begin Phase 2, Siting/Site Development, any comments, ideals or suggestion by the club membership about locations will be greatly appreciated.
