A Special Cleveland Amateur Radio Club Radio Night!

In honor of National Sasquatch Awareness Day, the Cleveland Amateur Radio Club invites you to join us for a special Radio Night on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 5:00 PM, as we embark on an exciting amateur radio adventure — The Hunt for Bigfoot!

Bigfoot has been spotted on the amateur radio bands, and we need your help tracking down this elusive creature!

During this fun and interactive event, participants will learn how to use amateur radio spotting networks, online tools, and other resources to track down special event stations operating on the air.

Your mission? Hunt for Bigfoot!

Using your amateur radio skills, locate and make contact with participating special event stations to collect the letters needed to spell B-I-G-F-O-O-T!

The event is sponsored by the Radio Club of Tacoma (W7DK) and features special event stations representing the letters in BIGFOOT, along with a bonus station representing the legendary Skunk Ape!

Here’s the exciting part: Make contact with at least one participating special event station and you can request a commemorative certificate! For an even greater challenge, try to work all the stations and complete the BIGFOOT hunt!

Whether you’re a seasoned DX hunter or just getting started in amateur radio, this is a great opportunity to sharpen your operating skills, discover useful tools, and enjoy some friendly companionship.

Join us at the clubhouse on Tuesday October 20th at 5:00 PM for an evening of radio, learning, and a little Sasquatch mystery!
