Saturday June 27th is Summer Field Day! The Cleveland Amateur Radio Club has a full day of events planned, including a presentation on “Inclement Weather Resources” presentation by Channel 12, Chief Meteorologist – Austen Onek (KG4GKE). Come out and join us for Field Day 2026. If your an Amateur Radio Operator this is an amazing opportunity to practice your operator skills and if you’re new to the hobby, this is a DO NOT MISS event. And of course food and fun for all!
Here’s the schedule for the day:
10:30 VE Testing will be available for those wanting to obtain or advance their Amateur Radio license.
12:00 Attend a free one-hour presentation, Inclement Weather Resources presented by Channel 12, Chief Meteorologist – Austen Onek (KG4GKE). This presentation is open to the public and designed to help individuals understand the Inclement Weather Resources available to amateur radio operators and other interested individuals. After the program, lunch will be provided for those that stay and participate in the field day contest. Participants are invited to sit with ham operators as the club activates its radio room for the Field Day event.
2:00 Field Day Contest starts!
5:00 Cook Out! Hamburger and Hot Dogs with sides will be provided.
