Come join members of the Cleveland Amateur Radio Club for a 7+ transmitter fox hunt!

Come join members of the Cleveland Amateur Radio Club (CARC) for a transmitter fox hunt in the Cleveland, TN area on Saturday, August 24th (rain date, Saturday August 31st). Anyone can join in, no amateur radio license is required. Before the event, we’ll be meeting at the Old Fort Restaurant (~7am EDT). Join us for breakfast and if you wish, partner/team with others for the hunt. The hunt kicks off at 8:30 am with six transmitters hidden within a hunt boundary area, one being mobile which will be periodically moved from place to place. At 12:00 pm (noon), we’ll be taking a lunch break enjoying pizza & drinks, compliments of the Cleveland Amateur Radio Club, at their clubhouse. There, participants can share their adventures, chow down and relax, hear tall tales and be eligible for giveaways. The afternoon hunt begins at 1:30 pm with a 7th “special” fox/transmitter being activated, one that has a prize associated with it. The hunt will conclude with a gathering at the CARC clubhouse.
